It's National Mutt Day Approximately 75 percent of all shelter dogs waiting for forever homes are mutts; NMD is to bring awareness to these animals and get 10,000 of them adopted by December 2. Disabled dog gets custom (toy) wheels A disabled Chihuahua was too young for a custom wheeled prosthetic, so veterinary personnel fashioned the dog a home-made rig out of unlikely parts. Dog passes during happy reunion A Miniature Schnauzer in Pennsylvania was reunited with her owner after they were apart for two years; the dog was so excited to see her human that she fainted.
